Homecoming or ousting? Rajab Butt breaks silence

Islamabad: YouTuber Rajab Butt has pushed back against reports claiming he was deported from the United Kingdom, insisting that he chose to return to Pakistan and was not forced out by authorities.

In a dramatic homecoming shared on Instagram, Butt posted emotional moments with his mother — complete with tears, tight embraces and his signature flair for social-media theatrics. One post was captioned: “Mara Kol Kol Ra Allah Da Bandeya.”

Amid the sentimental posts, Butt clarified the controversy surrounding his UK stay. He acknowledged that his visa had been cancelled but said his legal team immediately challenged the decision.

He stressed that he was not deported, his name was not placed on the Exit Control List, and he returned home on his own while the legal process continues. His 10-year UK visa is currently under review, and he expects to appear in Karachi within the next ten days.

British authorities reportedly cancelled his visa over the non-disclosure of pending legal cases in Pakistan. Butt said he plans to challenge the decision and file an appeal in London.

With over 8.2 million YouTube subscribers and 2.7 million Instagram followers, Butt is known for his family-centric vlogs and luxury content. He has previously faced legal proceedings in Pakistan linked to promoting betting applications.

Nadeem Naniwala, another popular content creator, also rejected claims that his UK visa had been revoked. He confirmed that two FIRs were registered against him but said he had secured protective bail from the Islamabad High Court.

Both Butt and Naniwala were recently granted protective bail by the IHC in cases tied to gambling apps and cybercrime, with the court directing authorities not to arrest them upon their arrival at Islamabad Airport.
