Heavy Snowfall in Galiyat Triggers Road Clearance
News Desk
Galiyat: Heavy snowfall of up to one foot across Galiyat late Sunday night prompted the launch of road clearance operations to facilitate tourists and local residents, officials said on Monday.
On the directives of the provincial government, field staff and machinery of the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) were mobilised early in the morning and deployed to clear town roads and major access routes to restore connectivity and ensure smooth traffic flow.
Salt is also being spread on roads to prevent slippery conditions and reduce risks posed by ice and fog.
The GDA Control Room remains fully operational, providing round-the-clock assistance to tourists and residents in case of emergencies or inconvenience.
