Heatwave to Persist in Karachi for Next Three Days

Islamabad: The heatwave is expected to persist in Karachi and its surrounding areas for the next three days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the current weather in the city is characterized by hot and dry conditions, with the current temperature at 30 degrees Celsius. However, the heat index is making it feel more like 32 degrees Celsius.
The Met Office forecasts that the maximum temperature will range between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius, with the minimum temperature recorded at 27 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels are low at 9 percent, and the wind is blowing from the northwest at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour.
In contrast, Karachi ranks third among the most polluted cities in the world. The Air Quality Index indicates poor air quality in the city, with Karachi being the most polluted city in Pakistan. The level of particulate matter in the air in Karachi has been measured at 161 particulate meters according to the air quality index.
