Heatwave Persists in Lahore, Though Mercury Drops Slightly

Lahore: The heatwave continued in Lahore city, with temperatures slightly decreasing to 43°C on Sunday. 

The Meteorological Department predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Officials from the weather department noted that continental air was affecting most parts of the country, forecasting predominantly hot weather in most areas, with extremely hot conditions in the plains.

Rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms were anticipated in isolated locations in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, the Potohar Region, northeast Punjab, and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. 

On Sunday, the highest temperature recorded was in Turbat at 48°C, while Lahore experienced a high of 43°C and a low of 27°C.
