Heart-Rending Story of 8-Year-Old Breadwinner

News Desk

Karachi: Pakistan is full of heartbreaking stories that we read every day. The nation and its people have exceptional resilience to cope with such challenging lives while attempting to advance and flourish without ever giving up.

Such a story came about little 8-year-old Naghma when she went to a camp run by an animal rescue and rehabilitation center ACF.

Naghma is the sole breadwinner of her house. She drives a donkey cart and transports wood all over Karachi. She came to a camp by ACF to get a new leash and cart for her donkey.

Every day she commutes to work with her 7-year-old brother. At the tender age of six, she began working; it has now been two years. Naghma said that no one helps in this world. Her donkey had been well-cared for by her.

Though we all know this exists in our society, but watching it had people heartbroken all over again as people prayed for the young child over social media.
