Healthy Habits Crucial in Diabetes Management: Experts

Faisalabad: Health experts have emphasized the necessity of embracing a healthy lifestyle as crucial for managing diabetes effectively.

This message was conveyed during an awareness session organized by the Hometown Community Foundation (HCF) in partnership with the Police Department at the Regional Training Center Police Lines.

During the event, Muhammad Saleem Balandia, President of HCF, highlighted the alarming prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan.

He mentioned the establishment of a Collaborative Care of Diabetes (CCD) Center on Susan Road in Faisalabad, aiming to offer essential assistance, treatment, and guidance to diabetic patients for their recovery.

Balandia stressed the importance of a healthy lifestyle in reducing the risks and complications associated with diabetes.

Additionally, he informed attendees about HCF’s ongoing series of awareness sessions designed to educate people about preventive measures against diabetes.

He also outlined the goals of the CCD program, expressing HCF’s commitment to making it a leading center for diabetes care, education, and research in Faisalabad, with the aim of transforming lives through excellence in healthcare.

Muhammad Iqbal Azeemi, Advocate of the High Court, delivered a keynote lecture on drug addiction and its detrimental effects on society, families, and various institutions.

Abdur Rashid Larra and Rashid Akbar, representing the Police Department, shared their perspectives and pledged to collaborate with Hometown Community Foundation in raising awareness about the harms and negative impacts of drug addiction.

The session saw active participation from a significant number of police officials.
