Rawalpindi: In a heartwarming gesture of solidarity, the Punjab government, under the special directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, organized a one-day recreational trip to Patriata Resort for students from Gaza currently pursuing medical and engineering studies in Pakistan.
The trip, arranged by the Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (TDCP), provided a much-needed respite for the young students, many of whom have endured the traumas of conflict in their homeland. The scenic beauty, pleasant weather, and thrilling rides—including chairlifts and cable cars—offered the group moments of joy, reflection, and mental relief.

The students expressed their gratitude to the Punjab government and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, saying that such thoughtful initiatives deepen their affection for Pakistan and make them feel at home.
Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb lauded the resilience and academic dedication of the Gazan students.
“Their courage and determination to pursue education despite hardship is inspiring. We want them to excel and fully experience Pakistan’s hospitality, culture, and natural beauty,” she said. She also announced that TDCP would continue to organize similar recreational activities for students from Gaza.
The initiative reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to humanitarian values and global solidarity, while also promoting Pakistan’s positive image and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
