Islamabad: The Rope Skipping event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the KMC Sports Complex, Badminton Hall, as part of the 35th National Games.
According to Shariq Siddiqui, Secretary General of the Pakistan Rope Skipping Federation, the competition will feature men’s and women’s categories, including singles, doubles, and team events. Winners will be awarded prizes at the conclusion of the event.
Speaking ahead of the competition, Siddiqui highlighted the importance of providing facilities and resources to nurture sporting talent in the country.
“Talent is not a problem; what we need is to provide facilities and resources to our athletes,” he said, adding that students in educational institutions are eager to participate in sports.
The inclusion of Rope Skipping in the National Games reflects the growing recognition of the sport in Pakistan. With proper support and infrastructure, Siddiqui emphasized, the country has the potential to produce world-class athletes in this discipline.
