Harry Potter Magic Lands in Fortnite With Free Game Drop
News Desk
Islamabad: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is set to enter Fortnite, as Epic Games rolls out major crossover content while offering the hit title Hogwarts Legacy for free on its PC store.
The announcement was made during The Game Awards 2025, where Epic revealed that Hogwarts Legacy can be claimed for free from the Epic Games Store until December 18 at 11am ET. Moments after the reveal, gamers reported loading issues on the store, widely attributed to a massive influx of users rushing to secure their free copy.
Epic also confirmed an exclusive Fortnite reward tied to the promotion: players who log more than two hours of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay before the deadline will receive a Chocolate Frog Back Bling inside Fortnite.
But the collaboration goes far deeper.
Later this month, Fortnite will introduce Hogwarts-themed character skins, allowing players to don customizable school robes representing Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff.
Although Harry Potter himself is not part of the initial launch, fans can expect to enter the iconic wizarding world through these tailored outfits.

The crossover had been widely anticipated by the Fortnite community, with dataminers previously pointing to Harry Potter–related files hidden in the game. Many players now believe broomsticks will arrive as Mythic items during Fortnite’s annual Winterfest event.
The addition of Harry Potter content continues a growing trend of Warner Bros. characters joining Fortnite, following the shutdown of WB’s live-service fighter Multiversus.
In recent months, Fortnite has welcomed the Scooby-Doo gang, Beetlejuice, and Jason Voorhees, alongside longstanding inclusions from DC Comics and Adventure Time.
Fans are already speculating about which WB properties might join next — from Game of Thrones and Gremlins to Looney Tunes.
Hogwarts Legacy has earned widespread praise since its release. IGN rated the game 9/10, writing: “In almost every way, Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter RPG I’ve always wanted to play.”
