Harris, Trump Seek Advantage in Tight Election Race

Washington: Kamala Harris and Donald Trump ramped up their campaigns in key battleground states on Sunday, vying for last-minute gains in a closely contested presidential race. New polling data reveals that Harris is underperforming among some key Democratic voter groups.
Harris visited North Carolina, which was recently devastated by a hurricane that claimed more than 235 lives across the Southeastern United States. Speaking in Greenville, a city with a rich civil rights history, Harris aimed to challenge Trump’s claims that federal agencies have failed to adequately assist storm victims.
“Moments of crisis reveal the heroes among us,” Harris said during a speech at a local church, paying tribute to those working to aid disaster-affected communities. She indirectly criticized Trump for “spreading disinformation” about relief efforts.
Meanwhile, Trump held a rally in Arizona and used a Fox News interview to suggest the possible use of military force against what he referred to as “the enemy from within.” He accused “radical left lunatics” of threatening the country, indicating that the National Guard or military could intervene if necessary.
With the election just around the corner, both candidates are making their final pitches to win over undecided voters in a race that remains too close to call.
