Harris Blasts ‘Offensive’ Trump for Remarks on Women

Reno, United States: Kamala Harris on Thursday condemned Donald Trump for what she described as “very offensive” remarks about women, refocusing attention on abortion rights as Trump continued his attacks and criticized migrants during the final stretch of the US election campaign.
As both candidates seek any possible advantage, they took their closely contested White House race to battleground states in the West, concentrating on immigration issues and courting Latino voters just five days before the November 5 conclusion of voting.
Trump, dressed in a black overcoat and a black “Make America Great Again” cap, depicted immigration in stark terms, claiming at a New Mexico rally that migrants were “unleashing a violent killing spree all across America.”
While the Democratic vice president and Republican former president pursue each other through the seven swing states expected to decide the election, Harris conveyed a more positive message, with pop icon Jennifer Lopez expected to join her for a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Thursday evening.
Trump also campaigned in Nevada, with both candidates making stops in Arizona. Harris addressed supporters in Phoenix, while Trump held a scheduled interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Harris criticized Trump for comments made during a Wednesday rally in which he claimed he wanted to “protect” American women “whether the women like it or not.” Calling the remarks “offensive to everybody,” Harris reiterated her criticism during a subsequent rally in Reno.
