Hajj 2023: 1,450 PHVG Volunteers Awarded Certificates For Serving Pilgrims

Riyadh: As many as 1,450  PHVG  volunteers received certificates of recognition for their service in a ceremony held in Riyadh on Friday.

The certificate distribution event for the Riyadh volunteers was organized by the Pakistan Hajj Volunteers Group (PHVG) in order to recognize their efforts and to honor the spirit of generosity and compassion that they brought to assist pilgrims on their journey. On the occasion, a senior leader of the PHVG, Abrar Tanoli, welcomed the distinguished guests and participants.

Pakistani ambassador Ahmad Farooq appreciated the Iqama holders living in Saudi Arabia for their dynamic role, adding that they demonstrated their service more actively than the servants from Pakistan.

The Pakistani envoy assured that the Pakistan embassy would keep working with the PHVG in the future. The Hajj volunteers have been performing the selfless service of Hajj for years, Farooq added. The participants were informed that around 1,450 PHVG volunteers served the pilgrims this year.

Ashraf Ali Khan, central coordinator of PHVG, appreciated the support of the Pakistani community and media, adding that their support increases our motivation to continue serving the guests of Allah.

The central coordinator also acknowledged the help of the Pakistani embassy and various Saudi institutions, adding that with their support the number of volunteers is growing.

Director of the King Khalid Foundation Ibrahim Nasir Al Sarhan also appreciated the group’s activities and paid tribute to all the officials. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Ambassador of Pakistan Ahmad Farooq awarded certificates to Hajj volunteers on behalf of the Pakistan Hajj Volunteers Group.

The Pakistan Hajj Volunteers group (PHVG), a non-governmental, non-political group with an aim to earn rewards from Allah by serving pilgrims as they perform Hajj, organized its annual awards and certificates distribution function at Riyadh.
