Islamabad: Quetta Gladiators secured their place in the playoffs of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 after edging past Islamabad United by two wickets in a nail-biting contest at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

After winning the toss, Quetta opted to bowl first and managed to restrict Islamabad United to 157 for 8 in their 20 overs. Mohammad Nawaz anchored the innings with a gritty 49, while Saim Ayub added a valuable 39 runs. Faheem Ashraf starred with the ball for Quetta, picking up four key wickets to keep the opposition in check.

In response, Quetta chased down the 158-run target in the final over, finishing at 159 for 8. Hasan Nawaz led the charge with a brilliant 64-run knock, while Rilee Rossouw (27) and Finn Allen (20) provided vital support during the tense run chase.

Despite the efforts of Islamabad bowlers Naseem Shah and Salman Irshad, who claimed two wickets each, Quetta held their nerve to clinch a dramatic victory.

This win not only marked a memorable finish but also made Quetta Gladiators the first team to qualify for the PSL 10 playoffs.
