Girls Shine Bright in Malakand Matric Results 2025

Dir Lower: Girls outperformed boys in the 2025 Matriculation examinations as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Malakand announced the annual results on Wednesday.
In both the Arts and Science groups, female students clinched top honors, reflecting a growing trend of academic excellence among young women in the region.
In the Arts group, Huma, daughter of Abdul Waheed Khan and a student at Mohsinat Academy, Dir Lower, secured the first position with 1094 marks. The second position was shared by Sana Saleem, also from Mohsinat Academy, and private candidate Nafsa from Bajaur, both scoring 1093 marks.
In the Science group, Suman Huma from a school in Dargai, Malakand, topped the board with an impressive 1169 marks. Komal Mahboob of PIMS School and College, Dir Lower, followed closely with 1168 marks.
The third position was a three-way tie among Ayesha Siddiqah of Dar-e-Arqam School, Thana Malakand; Abdul Rehman of Lal Qila School; and Minahil Mujahid from Smart School and College, each scoring 1055 marks.
The result announcement ceremony was held in Chakdara, attended by a large number of students, parents, and dignitaries. Notable guests included Malakand Board Chairman Muhammad Naseem Khan, University of Malakand Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Rasheed Ahmad, Malakand Board Chief Secretary Ghulam Muhammad Jan, and former Provincial Finance Minister Muzaffar Syed Advocate.
In their addresses, speakers congratulated the successful students and encouraged them to continue striving for academic and personal excellence. They highlighted that achieving top positions should be seen as a starting point for greater accomplishments in life.
Special words of encouragement were offered to students who did not pass this year, urging them to remain determined and to come back stronger.
Praising the University of Malakand as one of the province’s most affordable and high-performing institutions, the speakers also announced that admissions this year will be based on first-year marks.
The event concluded with patriotic chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” echoing through the hall. Cash prizes were distributed among the top achievers: Rs. 100,000 for first position, Rs. 85,000 for second, and Rs. 70,000 for each of the third position holders.
