Gilani Condemns Attack on Polio Team in Mastung

Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani strongly condemned the attack on Levies personnel assigned to protect a polio campaign team in Mastung, Quetta, which resulted in the martyrdom of one official and injuries to another.

Gillani paid tribute to the martyred officer, stating that his sacrifice would never be forgotten. He hailed the security personnel working on the anti-polio campaign as the true heroes of the nation, who are risking their lives to protect the future of Pakistan’s children.

The Senate Chairman also offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured official and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

He urged authorities to conduct an immediate investigation into the incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

Gillani emphasized that such cowardly attacks would not undermine the nation’s resolve. “The entire nation stands united in the fight against polio and in full support of those who safeguard it,” he affirmed.
