‘#GhoomoPakistan’: TikTok Campaign Amasses 2.3 Bln Views

Islamabad: TikTok’s initiative ‘#GhoomoPakistan’ concluded on World Tourism Day (Wednesday) with resounding success, amassing a staggering 2.3 billion video views during the two-month-long campaign.
The campaign was launched to showcase Pakistan’s hidden treasures, rich and diverse history, culture, and stunning landscapes, enthralling audiences with exciting content that highlighted travel experiences from all provinces of the country.
Its objective also include advocating responsible tourism and dispelling myths that have obscured the country’s potential as a tourism hotspot.
TikTok recognised the immense potential of local talent and partnered with four top creators, providing them the opportunity to explore most enchanting regions.
Rana Hamza Saif embarked on a journey encompassing Islamabad, Skardu and Hunza. Zenith, known as ‘The Motorbike Girl’, ventured through Islamabad, Neelum Valley and Arang Kel, while Zernab Shastri and Minahil Malik delved into the beauty of Swat, Malam Jabba and Kalam.
These creators brought to life diverse stories from different terrains, capturing breathtaking landscapes along the way.
Moreover, TikTok collaborated with more than 15 local travel content producers and featured over 100 creators’ videos that best represented Pakistan as a compelling destination for global travellers.
These designers documented their travels across every province of the nation, including unusual routes, little-known attractions, must-try local restaurants and heartwarming tales of the people they met along the way.
Furthermore, TikTok launched a unique ‘#GhoomoPakistan’ travel hub on the platform which featured information on scenic routes, travel advice, accommodation tips, and a special section concentrating on the varied gastronomic selections found throughout the country.
The hub operated as a one-stop shop for tourists looking to discover the nation’s undiscovered attractions.
TikTok Content Operations and Marketing for Pakistan Head Saif Mujahid said that TikTok has fast become the home of entertainment in Pakistan, with content comprising various categories.
