GCU Stands United for Palestine, Kashmir

Lahore: A seminar held at GC University Lahore on Thursday showcased strong support from the youth for the oppressed Muslim communities in Palestine and Kashmir.

Students from over eleven educational institutions, including Punjab University, UMT Lahore, University of Engineering and Technology, Home Economics University, and University of Gujarat, participated in the event.

The seminar was organized by the Ex-Servicemen Society in collaboration with GCU’s Kashmir and Palestine societies.

During the seminar, students expressed solidarity through patriotic songs, speeches, and dramatic performances, highlighting the injustices faced by their Palestinian and Kashmiri counterparts.GCU Stands United for Palestine, KashmirSenator Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Qayyum, ASP Shehrbano Naqvi, GCU Faculty Dean Dr Sultan Shah, Maulana Masoodur Rehman, and several other speakers addressed the audience.

Prof Sultan emphasized the crucial role played by GCU’s Kashmir and Palestine Societies in advocating for human rights and raising awareness among students.

Senator Abdul Qayyum stressed the importance of unity among Muslim nations in addressing the challenges faced by Kashmiris and Palestinians. ASP Syeda ShehrBano Naqvi highlighted the role of universities in amplifying their voices on the global stage.

The seminar also featured Vice-Chancellor Dr Mushahid Anwar of the University of Gujarat, who expressed solidarity through poetry, echoing sentiments of support for the people of Kashmir and Palestine.
