GCU Lahore’s ‘Aik Biwi ka Sawal Hai Baba’ Mesmerizes Audiences

Lahore: The Dramatics Club at Government College University Lahore (GCUDC) recently transported audiences back to the vibrant 70s with their captivating four-day performance of “Aik Biwi ka Sawal Hai Baba,” a romantic comedy musical that delighted spectators with its blend of humor, love, and nostalgia.
Under the direction of Umer Darr and the creative supervision of Zohaib Zafar Naqvi, the production paid homage to Kamal Ahmad Rizvi, a revered Urdu dramatist, director, and actor.
Through meticulous attention to detail in set design, sound, and music, the play aimed to immerse the audience in the bygone era, delivering a seamless and enchanting theatrical experience.
Ahmad Mughal led the talented cast as Raizy, delivering a standout performance alongside notable portrayals by Anumta Shoukat, Saira Iftikhar, and Tania Chiara, who also served as the President of the GCU Dramatics Club.
Chiara’s choreography further enhanced the production, adding a dynamic dimension to the performance.

Director Umer Darr expressed satisfaction with the play’s success, emphasizing the goal of spreading joy and evoking nostalgia while showcasing the remarkable talents of young performers.
