Islamabad: A gas leak caused a cylinder explosion that sparked a house fire in Dhoke Ali Akbar, Rawalpindi, early Sunday morning, leaving one man injured.

Rescue 1122 officials confirmed that the blast, triggered by an overnight gas leakage, ignited a powerful explosion and fire that quickly spread through parts of the house, causing significant damage.

The injured man, who was inside the house at the time, sustained burn injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Emergency responders reached the scene promptly and brought the fire under control before it could spread to adjacent houses.

Authorities have urged citizens to regularly inspect gas connections and cylinders, particularly during early morning hours when undetected leaks can pose a greater risk.
