Gala Tension Erupts as Bravo Calls Out Michael Rubí
News Desk
The content creator and former Mira quién baila participant Diego Bravo publicly criticized dancer Michael Rubí following a controversial gala on Sunday that sparked strong reactions over the nominees.
Bravo posted a video in which he took aim at Rubí, the dance partner of contestant Mariana Uriarte, who was nominated alongside Neto Rangel. Rubí drew attention during the broadcast for visibly showing disagreement with the judges’ decision, prompting Bravo to respond.
The dispute escalated after the program’s production team shared a clip of Rubí on social media. In the video, Rubí commented on remarks made by Tony Costa, questioned his knowledge of swing criollo, and referred to the group as “#TeamEnvidia.”

Bravo noted that the video was deleted shortly after negative reactions began to mount against Rubí for what viewers described as a “despotic attitude” and a failure to “understand the rules of the show.”
In his own recording, Bravo added, “That comment about trying to dance swing criollo and challenging someone to ‘come teach me reggaeton’ is completely out of place. You have to be a real sore loser not to understand the game. He hasn’t understood that the star here is not him.”
The incident has further fueled debate among fans as tensions continue behind the scenes of the popular dance competition.
