Beirut: Israeli airstrikes targeted southern and eastern Lebanon on Thursday, following evacuation warnings issued by the Israeli military. The attacks come amid escalating conflict that began on September 23, with Israeli forces primarily targeting areas under Hezbollah’s influence.
In the south, strikes were reported near the coastal city of Tyre, with smoke billowing in the Al-Hawsh area after residents were warned to evacuate. Additional strikes were reported in Burj al-Shemali following similar warnings.
For the first time, Israeli forces issued evacuation orders for parts of the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon.
The National News Agency (NNA) confirmed strikes on buildings in Safri village and Saraain al-Tahta, as well as Tamnine, after evacuation orders were issued. Israel has been intensifying its bombardment of the region over the past three weeks.
