Fourth Day of Strike, Protestors Heading to Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad: Protest convoys originating from all four tehsils have commenced their journey towards Trarkhel in Sudhanoti, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), with demonstrators successfully clearing administrative obstacles in Baloch and Awamiabad.

This marks the fourth day of the long march, wheel jamming, and strike organized by the Public Action Committee in AJK.

Convoys departing from Tehsil Trarkhel are en route to Rawalakot, Muzaffarabad, while those from Mirpur Division are directed towards Hajeera, passing through Rawalakot before reaching Muzaffarabad.

Protesters have conducted peaceful demonstrations across the district, including in Palandri, Baloch, Trarkhel, Awaniabad, and Mang.

It is to mention here that various regions of AJK are experiencing disruptions in internet and mobile phone services.

Internet service has been suspended in Bhimber, while both internet and mobile phone services are halted in Bagh.

Furthermore, all mobile networks and internet services are suspended in Mirpur, with internet service disruption also reported in Samahni and Nikial.

It’s important to highlight that protests persist in Azad Jammu and Kashmir against high electricity costs and taxes.

The Public Action Committee (PAC) has declared a long march from Mirpur to Muzaffarabad in protest against inflation and taxes.
