A 4-year-old boy Saeed Rashid Al-Mehiri from Abu Dhabi has become the world’s youngest author after writing a book called ‘The Elephant, Saeed, and the Bear’, which has sold 1,000 copies as of March 9, 2023.

The book’s story is based on the eternal friendship and kindness of two animals, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Saeed Rashid wrote this book after being inspired by the achievements of his elder sister, Al-Zahbi. His sister used to hold the record as the world’s youngest person to publish a bilingual book (a female).

Saeed Rashid’s sister started a unique book-writing initiative for children with the aim of encouraging children between the ages of 4 and 10 to write in Arabic or English.

Saeed said, “I am very close to my sister; we both read, write, and do other activities together; I have written my book inspired by my sister.”

Rashid Al-Mehiristated, “The story of my book is about an elephant and a bear. The elephant goes on a picnic and sees a bear. The elephant thinks that the bear will eat him, but in the end, the elephant shows kindness and offers to have a picnic together, and they become friends.”

4-year-old Rashid learned to write under the guidance of his mother and sister, while he also has a passion for mathematics and likes to solve math problems with his mother.

He revealed that this is just the beginning of his writing journey, and he is already working on another book. He loves to read, write, and tell stories.

Saeed’s parents said they are proud of their son, saying Saeed has followed in his sister’s footsteps and that his success is proof that every child is born with some talent.
