Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Education Board continues its surprise visits to ensure a transparent examination system across the division. During recent inspections, four candidates were caught cheating in the Matriculation First Annual Examination 2025, leading to the registration of Unfair Means Cases (UMCs) and FIRs against them.
Chairman of the Rawalpindi Education Board, Muhammad Adnan Khan, visited various examination centers, while Controller of Examinations, Tanveer Asghar Awan, also reviewed the arrangements.
According to officials, three candidates—Muhammad Wasiq (Roll No. 951381) from Bukhraal, Wasim Akhtar (Roll No. 959198) from Kahuta, and Muhammad Wajahat (Roll No. 951596) from Kahuta—were caught cheating. UMC cases were registered against them and forwarded to the Disciplinary Branch of the Board Office.
Additionally, another candidate, Malik Ahad Nawaz (Roll No. 952774), was caught impersonating Qasim Abbasi in the examination hall. An FIR was registered against both individuals for this offense.
The chairman emphasized that strict monitoring of examination centers is being conducted daily, with personnel from the Special Branch assisting in enforcement. “There will be no compromise on examination SOPs. We are determined to eliminate the ‘Booti mafia’ and set an example,” he stated.
Reaffirming the commitment to merit and transparency in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision, he urged invigilators to remain vigilant to prevent cheating and uphold the integrity of the examination process.
