Four of Family Suffer Injuries in House Fire

Muzaffargarh: Four members of a family, including two women and two children, sustained severe burn injuries in a fire that engulfed their house in Chah Sukhaway Wala, Kot Addu, on Wednesday. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

According to Rescue 1122, a fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, quickly engulfing the entire house. The four family members, who were asleep at the time, were trapped inside. Neighbors rushed to the scene and managed to rescue the family members from the burning house.

As per initial reports, the fire erupted in the house Muhammad Naveed when a woman lit a stove for cooking purposes. There was a utensil containing diesel, and it caught fire immediately.

As a result, two women and two minor children sustained severe burn injuries. One of the injured, identified as two-year-old Naiha Bibi, suffered about 80 percent burns.

She was shifted to Burn Centre Nishtar Hospital Multan. However, the other patients were shifted to the local hospital.

The Chowk Sarwar Shaheed police was investigating the incident till the filing of this report.
