Food Authority Seals Bakery Over Expired Products

Islamabad: The Deputy Director of the Food Authority in Islamabad sealed a bakery in E-12 after discovering rats within the premises alongside food items, including expired products intended for consumption.

During the inspection, expired items such as 0.45 kg of Noor Chicken Flavour and 1.5 kg of Garden BBQ Sauce, including Ovaltine Choco Powder, were immediately discarded on-site.

The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad emphasized that ensuring the provision of safe food must be the top priority for the Food Authority.

In line with the Deputy Commissioner’s directives, the Islamabad Food Authority team actively engaged in ensuring the supply of safe food across various areas in the federal capital.

As per the ICT Spokesperson, Deputy Director Dr. Tahira Siddique, in conjunction with the Islamabad Food Authority team, conducted thorough inspections at multiple food points within the E-12 areas.
