Fog Predicted in Morning, Night Across Plain Areas

Lahore: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast foggy conditions across the plains of Punjab during the early morning and night hours in the coming days.
According to officials, fog is expected to intensify gradually, affecting visibility and local weather conditions. Along with fog, a further drop in both day and night temperatures is expected in northern parts of the country, where colder conditions continue to prevail.
Over the past 24 hours, most areas of the country experienced cold and dry weather, with severe cold persisting in mountainous regions. Fog was also reported in several plain districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Skardu remained the coldest place in the country, recording a minimum temperature of minus 11°C.
Severe Air Pollution Grips Lahore
Smog continues to blanket Punjab, with Lahore—the City of Gardens—still facing dangerously high levels of air pollution.
According to an EPA report, the city’s average smog level has been recorded at 334.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in various parts of Lahore has reached alarming levels: 815 on Ravi Road, 547 in Allama Iqbal Town, 510 at Lower Mall, and 488 on Burki Road.
Meanwhile, weather forecasters predict the city’s minimum temperature may drop to 6°C, while the maximum temperature could rise to 22°C. The current temperature stands at 12°C.
The Meteorological Department has reported low wind speeds at 3 km/h and humidity at 68 percent.
