Fog Alert: Motorway Cautions Travelers, Urges Safety First

Islamabad: Motorway authorities issued a travel advisory on Saturday, urging drivers to exercise extreme caution due to hazardous travel conditions.
Citizens are advised to delay non-essential travel until further notice as authorities closely monitor the situation.
Speaking to a private news channel, a spokesperson for the motorway police advised travelers to check traffic updates and follow official social media channels for real-time information.
“Our emergency services are on high alert, and we are coordinating with law enforcement agencies to ensure safe and smooth traffic flow,” he stated.
The motorway police have deployed emergency response teams at strategic points to assist travelers and have increased patrolling and surveillance on major routes to prevent potential disruptions.
Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or incidents by contacting the Motorway Police helpline at 130.
For safer travel, the spokesperson recommended driving during daylight hours, with 10:00 am. to 6:00 pm. noted as the ideal period to avoid fog and smog conditions. Motorists are advised to use fog lights on motorways and highways and to contact the helpline for assistance in case of emergencies.
All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety and security of citizens, the spokesperson assured.
