FM Reiterates Commitment To Stable, Peaceful Afghanistan

Islamabad: Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to a stable, peaceful, prosperous and connected Afghanistan on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
In a meeting with U.S. Special Representative on Afghanistan Thomas West, the Foreign Minister emphasised the importance of maintaining engagement with the Interim Afghan Government (IAG) in order to look into potential avenues for Afghanistan’s reconstruction, economic revival, and adequate and ongoing humanitarian assistance for those in need.
They agreed to further collaborate to achieve long-term peace and stability in Afghanistan.
