Islamabad: Torrential rains and flash floods have devastated large parts of the country since June 26, leaving 910 people dead, 1,044 injured, 7,850 homes damaged, and 6,180 livestock perished, according to the latest figures released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Among the 910 fatalities are 241 children, 520 men, and 149 women. Punjab reported 234 deaths (91 children, 104 men, 39 women), while Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) recorded the highest toll at 504 (90 children, 338 men, 76 women). Sindh reported 58 deaths, Balochistan 26, Gilgit-Baltistan 41, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 38, and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 9.

Flood-related incidents also injured 1,044 people, including 315 children, 444 men, and 285 women. Punjab recorded the most injuries with 654 cases, followed by KP with 218, Sindh 78, Gilgit-Baltistan 52, AJK 34, Balochistan 5, and ICT 3.

The NDMA reported that more than 2.4 million people have been rescued nationwide in 4,594 operations. Punjab led with 2,264,500 evacuations across 3,884 missions. KP evacuated 14,317 people, Sindh 127,447, Gilgit-Baltistan 1,027, AJK 940, ICT 49, and Balochistan 19.

To support recovery, NDMA—working with the Pakistan Army and partner agencies—has distributed over 173,569 relief items, including tents, blankets, hygiene kits, ration bags, food packs, and safe drinking water. Additional equipment such as solar panels, de-watering pumps, and generators has also been provided.

Nationwide, 7,850 homes have been damaged—1,945 completely and 5,905 partially—while 6,180 livestock have been lost. The NDMA has also established 2,326 relief and medical camps. Of these, 694 medical camps have treated 199,470 people, while 1,632 relief camps are sheltering 85,856 displaced citizens.

The NDMA said that coordinated relief and rescue efforts will continue to minimize the human and material losses caused by the unprecedented flooding.
