ISLAMABAD: The torrential rains and flash floods in Pakistan have affected more than 30 million people over the last few weeks including various journalists.

A journalist Asad Sahar said that like other people, floods have affected journalists’ communities across Pakistan as well. He urged the journalists’ unions and press clubs to begin their efforts to assist and rehabilitate local journalists.

According to senior journalist Zafar Malik, young people are passionate about helping with flood relief efforts. He mentioned that those impacted by the disaster needed cooked food, tents and medications immediately.
