Five Killed, Dozens Injured as Bus Falls into Ravine in Zhob

Islamabad: Five passengers, including women, were killed instantly, and dozens more were injured when an over-speeding bus overturned and plunged into a ravine on the National Highway in the Dhana Sar area of Zhob, Balochistan, on Saturday.
According to initial reports, Levies forces confirmed that the bus was traveling at high speed when the accident occurred. A loud bang was heard, and five passengers died on the spot, while around 24 others sustained injuries, according to a private news channel.
The passenger bus was en route from Islamabad to Quetta, rescue sources said. Rescue teams were swiftly dispatched to the scene, working tirelessly to retrieve survivors and recover the bodies of the deceased. Levies forces, along with local authorities, coordinated rescue efforts and provided emergency medical services to the injured.
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident, local police reported. Authorities have vowed to take action against those responsible, including the bus driver and the transportation company, if negligence is found to have played a role in the tragedy.
