Hyderabad: In a significant technological milestone for regional music, the first-ever artificial intelligence (AI)-generated song in the Sindhi language has been released, marking a new chapter in Sindhi cultural expression.
The song was created by senior cartoonist and journalist Murad Ali Shah Bukerai, who has no formal background in the music industry. Speaking to a state-run news agency, Bukerai said he had previously produced AI-generated songs in English and Urdu, but this was his first attempt in Sindhi, which he described as a major breakthrough.

He explained that AI-based song production does not require traditional elements such as singers, composers, recording studios, models, or filming locations. “With basic AI skills, a complete song can be generated using just a few sentences,” he said.
Bukerai noted that creating content in Sindhi through AI remains challenging, as most existing tools do not fully support the language. However, he said persistent experimentation made the project possible.
Expressing optimism about the future, he said advancements in AI technology are likely to make Sindhi-language content creation more accessible. “As tools improve, ordinary users will be able to produce Sindhi songs more easily using artificial intelligence,” he added.
