FIA Nabs Man for Using AI to Manipulate Images of State Officials

Multan: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle Multan has arrested a suspect involved in creating and spreading AI-generated images and videos targeting government officials and state institutions.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Ghulam Nabi, was apprehended during a raid in Sadiqabad. Officials stated that he was allegedly engaged in an anti-state campaign, using artificial intelligence to manipulate images and videos of political and government figures with the intent to damage their reputation.

The suspect is accused of generating and sharing misleading content on social media, depicting high-ranking officials in a defamatory manner. FIA has registered a case against him and seized his social media accounts along with other digital evidence.

Further investigations are underway.
