Fear in Wah as Rabid Dog Attacks Leave 11 Hospitalised

Wah Cantt: At least 11 people, including four children, were injured after being attacked by suspected rabid dogs in Saadat Colony and nearby areas of Wah on Wednesday, officials said.

All the injured were immediately shifted to Wah General Hospital, where they were administered first aid along with anti-rabies vaccination and immunoglobulin. Hospital sources said the children suffered bite wounds to their faces and foreheads, while adult victims were bitten on their hands and legs.

Additional Medical Superintendent Dr Abu Hanifa Saeed said all patients received timely and appropriate medical care, including thorough wound cleaning. He added that the injured remain under medical supervision and their condition is stable.

Local authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and report any stray or aggressive animals to the relevant departments to prevent further incidents.
