Islamabad: In a major update for drama enthusiasts and streaming audiences, the release of Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, Pakistan’s first-ever Netflix original series, has been postponed. Initially slated for a June 2025 debut, the highly anticipated show is now expected to premiere between October and November 2025.

The delay comes as the series enters its final phase of production, with the creators focusing on post-production enhancements to ensure a polished, world-class final product. According to insiders from the entertainment industry, the additional time will allow the production team to meet the high standards set for both domestic and global audiences.

Adapted from Farhat Ishtiaq’s acclaimed novel of the same name, the series is a production of Momina Duraid Productions and has been making headlines since its announcement. With its powerful storytelling and ambitious scale, the project is seen as a milestone moment for the Pakistani entertainment industry as it steps onto the international OTT stage.

The series features a stellar cast of some of Pakistan’s most celebrated actors. Fawad Khan takes on the role of Mehmood Akhtar, alongside Mahira Khan as Vittoria Akhtar, Sanam Saeed as Rubina Akhtar, and Ahad Raza Mir as Sikandar Sheheryar.

The ensemble also includes Hamza Ali Abbasi (Jahanzaib), Hania Aamir (Maryam Mehmood), Maya Ali (Rahat), Khushhal Khan (Zain Sheheryar Khan), Iqra Aziz (Liza Mehmood), and Bilal Ashraf (Waqar Khan).

The delay has done little to dampen fan excitement, as expectations continue to soar for what is being hailed as a landmark production for Pakistan. With its international platform, celebrated cast, and high production values, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo is poised to leave a significant mark on the global streaming landscape.
