Father’s Business Partner Arrested in Toddler’s Murder

Orakzai: Police have arrested the business partner of the father of a three-year-old girl in connection with her abduction and murder in Orakzai district.

Addressing a press conference, District Police Officer (DPO) Orakzai Shoukat Ali said the minor girl was abducted on November 19 and later brutally murdered.

He said the child’s body was buried in the mountains four days after the abduction, and the remains have now been recovered.

According to the DPO, investigations revealed the involvement of the victim’s father’s business partner in the crime. The accused allegedly demanded Rs 500,000 and the transfer of a coal mine into his name from the girl’s father.

He further said that out of 19 suspects taken into custody, four have confessed to the crime.

Police have presented the four accused before a court and obtained a seven-day physical remand for further investigation.

The DPO said investigations are ongoing and all those involved will be brought to justice in accordance with the law.

Two, including woman, killed in road accident in Faisalabad

Two persons, including a woman, were killed in a road accident on Roshan Wala Bypass on Wednesday.

According to Rescue 1122, Abrar Asghar (40) and a woman, aged about 35, residents of Chak No. 302-GB, Toba Tek Singh, were travelling on a motorcycle when it collided with a vehicle near Khaddian Warraichan on Roshan Wala Bypass.

Both victims sustained critical head injuries and died on the spot.

The rescue team shifted the bodies to the custody of the concerned police for further legal formalities.
