Dubai: Pakistan opening batter Sahibzada Farhan has expressed confidence that his team will face India again in the final of the ongoing tournament, following their recent close encounter.

Speaking to reporters in Dubai, Farhan revealed that he seldom celebrates half-centuries but chose to do so against India.

“When I scored a fifty against India, I immediately thought of celebrating. People don’t know what my celebration means, but it doesn’t matter,” he said.

He credited his opening partner Fakhar Zaman for boosting his confidence.

“It was fun opening with Fakhar Zaman. His aggressive style of play gives me confidence. I have worked hard to improve my six-hitting, and Insha Allah, we will win against Sri Lanka. All the players are confident about the upcoming matches,” he added.

Reflecting on the India clash, Farhan noted that the game was closely contested.

“It was not one-sided; we took the match till the end. We will meet India again in the final,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Haris Rauf drew attention during the India–Pakistan game when he responded to crowd taunts by showing a “six-zero” gesture with his fingers. The sign alluded to Pakistan’s claim of downing six Indian fighter jets, including Rafales, during a past military confrontation.
