Lahore: A fake spiritual healer in Lahore, along with his accomplice, allegedly defrauded and sexually assaulted a mentally challenged girl, reported a private news channel on Saturday.

According to an FIR filed at the Shadbagh police station, the victim’s mother accused a man named Javed, his accomplice Asghar, and a woman named Sajida of the crime.

The complainant stated that Javed, posing as a healer, claimed her daughter was under the influence of black magic.

Using this deception, Javed reportedly stole jewellery worth over Rs1.8 million, including seven rings weighing three tolas each, a one-tola locket, and four earrings weighing one-and-a-half tolas.

Additionally, he allegedly extorted Rs140,000 in cash.

The FIR further alleges that Javed and Asghar gang-raped the victim and filmed nude videos to blackmail her. To cover his tracks, Javed is also accused of preparing a fake marriage certificate to evade legal repercussions.

The local police have launched a search for the suspects, who fled upon learning about the FIR. A special team has been formed to apprehend them, authorities said.
