Fake Cop Arrested, Rifle and Uniform Seized

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested a man posing as a police officer on social media and recovered a rifle, ammunition, wireless set, and police uniform from his possession.

According to an ICT Police spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Adnan, was apprehended by Sangjani Police through technical and human intelligence under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

A case has been registered against him, and investigations are underway to determine his possible involvement in other unlawful activities.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, said that protecting citizens’ lives and property was the foremost duty of ICT Police, adding that all resources were being utilized to maintain law and order in the capital.
