Condemning the Indian missile strikes in the strongest possible terms, the prime minister said the attack had resulted in the martyrdom of 26 innocent men, women, and children. President Erdogan extended heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives and praised Pakistan’s commitment to advancing regional peace. He reaffirmed Turkiye’s steadfast support to Pakistan during this critical time.

Reiterating Pakistan’s desire for peace in the region, Prime Minister Shehbaz said Pakistan remained fully determined to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity with full force and resolve.

He categorically rejected India’s attempts to falsely implicate Pakistan in the Pahalgam incident, stating that New Delhi had failed to provide any credible evidence. He added that instead of accepting Pakistan’s offer for a neutral and transparent international investigation, India had chosen a dangerous path marked by aggression and irresponsible state behavior.

President Erdogan also informed the prime minister that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had spoken earlier in the day with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, during which the two had discussed the prevailing situation in detail.
