EPA DG Farzana Altaf Suspended for Four Months

Islamabad: Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Farzana Altaf Shah, has been suspended from her position, according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Climate Change.
The notification states that Farzana Altaf Shah, a Grade-20 officer, has been suspended for an initial period of four months with the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The action has been taken under the Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules, 2020.
The reasons behind the suspension have not been disclosed in the official communication. However, sources suggest that the decision may be linked to administrative and disciplinary matters concerning the EPA’s operations.
