Employment Awareness Workshop Held For Trans Students

Bahawalpur: Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) organised a business proposal and workshop for transgender students to provide them with better job opportunities.
The workshop included employment awareness, business start-ups and training so that trans students can find jobs in public and private institutions. They were trained to propose new businesses, including food, e-commerce, online businesses and other employment opportunities.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Zaheer Anwar Jappa visited Transgender School Canal Colony Bahawalpur, where transgender students are being taught various skills along with contemporary education.
Anwar Jappa appreciated the steps that are being taken to provide employment opportunities to transgender people and make them skilled.
He also distributed appreciation certificates to the transgender people who brilliantly performed in the workshop.
The IUB Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Future and Excellence Private Limited, and Entrepreneur Empowerment Forum organised the workshop.
