Gujranwala: A gas pipeline that was laid a month before the general elections in Madan Chak has been removed by the Sui Gas Department, sources revealed on Thursday.

Local residents claim that the pipeline was laid on the recommendation of former MNA Azhar Qayyum Nahar, who lost in the elections.

The locals have alleged that the gas pipeline was removed on the orders of Azhar Qayyum Nahar.

On the other hand, Azhar Qayyum has denied the allegations, stating that he does not know why the gas pipeline was removed. Meanwhile, the GM of Sui Gas stated that the pipeline was removed because it was laid illegally.
