Islamabad: A tragic road accident in Jaranwala claimed the lives of eight people and left nine others injured when a speeding bus collided with a motorcycle rickshaw in front of the Landian Wala police station.

According to rescue officials, five people died instantly at the scene, while three others succumbed to their injuries after being transported to the hospital.

Rescue teams promptly arrived at the site, shifting both the bodies of the deceased and the injured to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
