Islamabad: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has decided to launch a pioneering project creating “High-Impact IT Training Institutes”.
The project is being executed in partnership with four national universities—NUST, NUML, COMSATs, and NSU—alongside the National Vocational and Technical Commission (NAVTCC) and 16 federal degree colleges in Islamabad.
Official sources state that the training for courses such as data science, AI, and blockchain will take place in the federal capital’s degree colleges. However, the duration of this comprehensive, high-quality training will span six months.
Reportedly, NUST, NUML, COMSATs, and NSU are participating institutions, and both graduates and undergraduates are eligible for the training and certification, urged to apply.
Each federal degree college will accommodate 200 to 300 students, providing space and hardware. These programs aim to boost employability in swiftly evolving IT sectors. NAVTCC will oversee funding, ensuring successful implementation of the training programs.
The institutes are set to start soon, offering an opportune moment for students to gain state-of-the-art IT skills. This initiative strives to bridge the gap between academia and industry, producing highly proficient professionals ready to contribute to the IT field.
The Ministry expresses gratitude to all collaborating institutions for their dedication to advancing education and nurturing a technologically adept workforce.
“Together, we anticipate a future where these IT training institutes empower individuals and significantly contribute to our nation’s digital growth,” the sources concluded.
