Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has strongly refuted the claims regarding the issuance of a schedule for the upcoming general elections.

A spokesperson for the ECP has explicitly stated that the news published in the Daily Jang is baseless and without any factual foundation.

The spokesperson has clarified that the schedule being circulated on social media platforms is entirely fraudulent. They have emphasized the consistent dissemination of false information regarding the elections across various media outlets, cautioning the public to rely solely on official statements from the Election Commission.

Regarding applications submitted to the Commission, the spokesperson clarified that there were no consultations conducted on the matter. Furthermore, any statements not directly coming from the official spokesperson of the Election Commission should not be considered as the Commission’s policy declarations.
