Earthquake Rattles Capital, No Damage Reported

Islamabad: Tremors were felt across Islamabad and its surrounding areas as a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck the region, according to the Seismological Centre.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 17 kilometers, sending shockwaves through the capital city, Rawalpindi, and nearby areas.

The Seismological Centre reported that the epicenter was located 8 kilometers southeast of Rawalpindi. Tremors were also experienced in Peshawar, Murree, and Jhelum, triggering widespread panic.

Residents rushed out of their homes in fear, but no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties have been received.
