Earthquake Jolts Islamabad, KP Cities

Islamabad: Tremors from a moderate earthquake were felt in Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Swat on Monday evening.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the quake measured 5.4 on the Richter scale with its epicenter located in southeastern Afghanistan at a depth of 22 kilometers.

Residents reported feeling the tremors around 5:30 PM across parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal capital. No immediate reports of casualties or damage were received.
