Dry Weather Likely in Most Parts of Country

Islamabad: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, with cold weather prevailing in the northern regions.
The synoptic situation indicates the prevalence of continental air over most parts of Pakistan.
Over the last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorms occurred in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while other regions experienced dry weather.
Here are the rainfall and snowfall measurements recorded:
Rainfall:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Balakot 30mm, Dir (upper 28mm and lower 04mm), Pattan 17mm, Kakul 14mm, Drosh 06mm, Malam Jabba, Saidu Sharif 04mm, Chitral 03mm, Bacha Khan A/p 01mm.
Kashmir: Kotli 27mm, Garhi Dupatta 22mm, Rawalakot 21mm, Muzaffarabad (Airport 17mm & City 14mm).
Punjab: Murree 11mm, Mangla 09mm, Hafizabad, Chakwal, Gujranwala 06mm, Jhelum, Gujrat 05mm, Islamabad (City 06mm, A/p 04mm), Sialkot (A/p 06mm, City 05mm), Mandi Bahauddin 01mm.
Gilgit-Baltistan: Astore 01mm.
Snowfall: Kalam, MalamJabba: 02 inches.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded were Leh, Kalam -07°C, Malamjabba, Kalat -02°C, Gupis, and Bagrote 00°C.
